Show Day Routine

What is your show day routine? Your ride in the show ring has so much more to do with the structure and routine around the ride than most even realize.

What do I mean by routine? These are the actions that you take for your horse and yourself to enhance wellbeing, relaxation, performance, and mental clarity.

  • Longing

  • Feeding time

  • Massage

  • Stall Cleaning

  • Muscle warming with blankets

  • Icing legs after a ride

  • Grazing

  • Manually stretching the legs and tail/back

  • Theraplate

  • Would love to read some of your routines in the comments below!

It takes time to develop a routine, but make sure to make notes of what works for you and what doesn't (Even down to the timing of your meals). A successful routine is the corner stone to a successful ride.

Tell us about your routine in the comments! Cannot wait to hear the brilliant ideas you all have come up with.
